Bullying / Cyberbullying / Online Bullying Report Form

The Riverview School District is committed to providing a safe, positive learning environment for all students, and therefore takes matters of bullying/cyberbullying seriously and with the utmost consideration. State code defines bullying as an intentional electronic, written, verbal or physical act or series of acts directed at another student or students, which occurs in a school setting and/or outside a school setting, that is severe, persistent or pervasive and has the effect of doing any of the following: substantially interfering with a student's education, creating a threatening environment, or substantially disrupting the orderly operation of the school. The District understands that bullying creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, detracts from the safe environment necessary for student learning, and may lead to more serious issues. Therefore, the District prohibits bullying by any student, both inside and outside of the school setting.  If you or someone you know is experiencing bullying/cyberbullying, or taking part in bullying/cyberbullying, please click on the report form icon below.  Even if you are unsure, or want to report something you feel is wrong, inappropriate, or doesn't feel right, we encourage you to complete the form so that the staff can investigate and intervene.

Action Steps for students:
- Your first line of defense is your classroom teacher.  Report any issues to them confidentially.  Note, reporting is flexible and students should be sure to communicate any issues with a staff member that they are comfortable with.
- If the bullying continues, file an official bully report form (hot pink sheet outside guidance office) to their school counselor's mailbox in the guidance office.  Students also have the option to submit a report online or even go directly to their school counselor.
- Counselors check their mailboxes throughout the day to address any issue(s).  Overall, communication is key and students should not let issues build.  Always communicate when you are not sure.
