i-Ready diagnostics are used to assess student progress, strengths, and areas of need. The diagnostic is designed to max out students' ability levels by providing more challenging questions when students are performing well and adjusting to foundational questions when students begin to struggle.
After the diagnostic, students are assigned lessons that are tailored to their needs. Our goal using i-Ready is to help fill in gaps or enrich students so that they can move towards grade level (or above) skills and concepts. We closely monitor data and conference with students about their growth and lesson pathways.
We encourage students to focus and try their best on each diagnostic to provide the most accurate data and set them up with lessons that are beneficial to their growth. We hope to provide a testing environment that will optimize students' focus and comfort.
