ABOUT THE JUNIOR HIGH
The junior high years are a very exciting time for students to grow, explore, and enjoy! This is what drives our fundamental philosophy behind the Junior High program at the Riverview School District. We are focused on creating a positive transition between the elementary years and the high school years. Seventh and eighth grade create a bridge where students learn more about themselves as students, leaders, and active participants in the school community. We recognize that our students are not quite yet ready for all of the independence found in a high school, but they are prepared to begin exploring their academic career on their own; thus, we have created a place where they have their own identity as middle school students and can develop and learn independence with appropriate support, structure, and guidance.
