Riverview Model UN Wraps Up Fall Season With 7 More Awards at Pitt Conference!

On Tuesday, December 5, 22 members of the Riverview Model UN Team participated in the 19th annual Model European Union simulation at the University of Pittsburgh to wrap up its fall season.  The event brought together over 200 students from 19 area schools to discuss issues including democracy on the European continent and Indo-Pacific and African trade connections within the European Union.  The team once again performed well, bringing home a total of 7 awards for the event.   Students winning awards at the conference were:

 

Chiara Brun and Juliette Brun - First Place Best Delegation as Belgium

 

Georgia Tsambis and Hannah Hudak - First Place Best Delegation as France

 

Georgia Tsambis - First Place position paper as France

 

Noah Prosky - Second Place position paper as Latvia

 

Cohen Hoolahan - Second Place position paper as Belgium

 

Cohen Hoolahan and Ryland Ogrodowski - Third Place Honorable Delegation as Belgium

 

Carter Loughren and John Moses - Third Place Honorable Delegation and France

 

These awards bring the team total to 27 for the current year.  The team will next be in action in January in Ann Arbor for the University of Michigan Model UN Conference.
