Congratulations to Senior Callie Harden! Callie was one of only three players in all of WPIAL AA to be chosen for a 2023 Sportsmanship Award for Girls Varsity Tennis. The award is given by the Western Pennsylvania Girls Tennis Sportsmanship Committee and winners must be nominated by an opposing player, opposing coach, or a WPIAL official.
According to her award announcement, Callie’s opponents and peers found her to be consistently friendly and fair and that she displayed the characteristics of outstanding sportsmanship.
As the committee said in the letter that accompanied the award, “this is quite an achievement!” Indeed!
