Riverview School Board Approves New Five-Year Superintendent Contract

OAKMONT, PA – The Riverview Board of School Directors reappointed Dr. Neil English as Superintendent of Schools through June 30, 2028.

The five-year agreement was unanimously approved by the board during a special meeting on Aug. 28, 2023.

“I am thankful and honored to continue serving the Riverview community,” Dr. English said. “The engagement and enthusiasm I see, from students and parents to the faculty, staff and the board is unparalleled in my career. I’m humbled the board has entrusted me with this responsibility for five more years and I will continue to work tirelessly to help make Riverview the best District it can be.”

Dr. English has been with Riverview School District since 2016 and became the district’s fifth superintendent in August 2020.

“It is reassuring to know Dr. English will remain with Riverview for five more years as Superintendent,” said Jennifer Chaparro, Riverview School Board President. “His steady leadership was instrumental in getting us through several challenging years in public education, and I am pleased to see him continue the mission and vision as outlined in our latest strategic plan.”
