On Friday, May 12, four Riverview Seniors presented their collaborative Capstone project to complete the requirements for the Riverview Global Scholars Certificate.
This 3-year certificate program requires students to complete coursework, participate in activities, and complete extensive service work concentrated on globally focused issues.
The four students, Naomi Girson, Kylie Longstreth, Alanna Wachocki, and Olivia Wilton presented their Capstone about their Model UN involvement and teaching of global awareness through Model UN training and teaching Spanish to elementary students within the district.
The individual portion of the Capstone presentation provided the recipients an opportunity to share how the program has impacted their lives individually as well as been an influence on their chosen career path.
The four students received a certificate of achievement and an honor cord (black, light blue, and white to represent Riverview and United Nations colors) that they will wear at graduation.
Congratulations Naomi, Kylie, Alanna, and Olivia!
