Recognizing Raiders: Junior High’s Final Town Hall of the Year!

On Friday, April 11, we celebrated our final full-scale Junior High Town Hall and last group of Recognizing Raiders for the year!  We kicked off the event by announcing our Creative Recognizing Raiders. Any students who were on the music trip had the opportunity to combine their raffle tickets with the tickets from the Town Hall. Once everyone had a chance to place their raffle tickets, we completed our drawing - prize winners are listed at the conclusion of this write up! We also celebrated iReady growth and our student of the month, Riley Condron, during Friday's Town Hall.

After recognizing our incredibly creative students, we kicked off six rounds of our version of "The Price is Right." Students worked as grade-level teams to come up with their best guess for the price of the eight local items ranging from Oakmont Bakery Taylor Swift Eras Cookies to a medium caramel frozen latte from Mechanic Coffee. The game ended with a showcase showdown, consisting of a variety of candy from Sheetz. Each grade-level team had to calculate what they thought was the best final guess for the price of the combined candy. While the 7th grade team started off with some challenges, they overcame them and came out on top for the showcase showdown! It was great to see homerooms working side-by-side to unite as a team!

We are looking forward to our last nine weeks and end-of-year activities!
