Mentoring (Gr 7-12)

RJSHS Career Readiness/Mentoring Program

The Riverview Junior/Senior High School has implemented a Homeroom Mentoring Program to enhance the customized educational opportunities for all students. The new, smaller homerooms will enable the homeroom teachers to take on a mentoring role in each student’s educational experience. The homeroom activities will include:

Pride Lessons

Data Analysis with students

Goal Setting Opportunities

Academic Monitoring

Career Exploration

Community Service Experiences

Customized Education Plans

The focus of the mentoring program is to provide a more personalized approach to the student’s education.  Daily interaction between the student and the homeroom teacher over the course of the four years will encourage the customized education which has become a priority in the Riverview School District.

“Mentoring Mondays”

Riverview Jr-Sr High School implements a proactive approach to targeting the career standards benchmark.  The academic standards for Career Education and Work Standards (CEW) are an important initiative that RJSHS executes through “Mentoring Mondays.”  Please see the document to view a full picture on how the important CEW standards are achieved here at Riverview Jr-Sr High School!
