Tara Jo Pomatto-Morascyzk
Hi, my name is Tara Jo Pomatto-Morascyzk. I am one of the high school counselors for grades 9-12. Since the 2006-2007 school year, I have been the junior high counselor at Riverview. Beginning next school year, I am moving to high school guidance. My professional background includes earning a Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College and a Master of Science Psychology from Chatham University.
For enjoyment my husband Michael, stepson Mikey, age 8 and son Severio, age 2 like to explore outdoors, play sports and take walks with our two dogs at Dark Hollow Woods. This June we are expecting another addition to our family!
I look forward to next school year in working with families and students.
Nicholas Kinek
My name is Nicholas Kinek. I have served as a school counselor at Riverview for several years primarily for grades 11 and 12, but my experience includes working with both junior high and high school students. My education includes graduating from Kutztown University and then becoming a certified school counselor with a Master’s degree from Indiana University of PA.
Helping junior high school students next year by serving as their guidance counselor is one of the most exciting opportunities of my career. I look forward to helping our youngsters reach their highest level of achievement while assisting them to balance and adjust to life as a teenager. I also look forward to continue serving under Ms. Nix who has an extensive junior high counseling background. Furthermore, our junior high staff is the most caring and determined in our region.
I live in Plum Borough. During my free time I enjoy sports and the outdoors with my family that includes my wife, Kimberly, and children, Nico, age 12, and Cole, age 7 We plan on camping in Elk County and going to Myrtle Beach this summer. We also plan on having a junior high/seventh grade party in August because both Nico and I are going to junior high in September!
