Riverview's Amby Bauer breaks 35-year record in 1600m at Igloo Invitational!

Congratulations to Riverview track captain Amberson Bauer continued his remarkable senior year with a school and meet record breaking performance in the 1600 at the Altoona Invitational.

Amby ran a 63 second final lap in coming from behind to beat multiple state level athletes in the elite field.

His time of 4:23.13 broke the Altoona Igloo meet record of 4:23.37, which was set all the way back in 2004.

Amby’s time was also good enough to break the 35 year old Riverview 1600 record of 4:25.7, previously owned by Frank Pugliese (1988).

Amby came back 90 minutes after his record breaking performance to finish first in the 800 with a time of 2:00.8.

Amby had previously set the RHS school record in this event (1:55.19) at the PIAA championship last May.
