Junior High students celebrated the colder winter weather with our annual snow person competition during our February Town Hall. We began the Town Hall by celebrating our December and January students of the month: Chandler Yorio and Sawyer Rocchini. We continued the celebrating by announcing our January/February Recognizing Raiders under the theme of growing and learning from mistakes. After announcing our recognized students, three students from each homeroom furiously wrapped their volunteer snow person and used pre-planned decor to bring each vision to life! We are grateful to our senior high mentors who came to be official judges for the competition. They diligently ranked our finished snow people, which included a tooth fairy, squid game pink soldier, tropical vacationer, ski/snowboarder, scientist, island-goer, Mr. Capsambelis, and Riverview cheerleader. In the end, the mentors selected Mrs. Evanchec's tooth fairy for 3rd place and Mrs. Morgans' tropical snow person for 2nd place. Taking the number one place was the crowd-favorite Mr. Capsambelis during Academics and Enrichment snowman from Mr. O'Malley's homeroom! We always enjoy seeing each homeroom flex their creative muscles and lean on teamwork and planning for this competition!
