The Junior High closed out the month of October with our second Town Hall of the year. With a ton of points on the line, students gathered to cheer on their peers and vote for the best homeroom pumpkin. We were lucky enough to be joined by some of our high school leaders who were able to narrow our pumpkins down to three. From there a crowd-cheer vote determined Mr. Biehl's Black Panther pumpkin as the ultimate winner. Followed closely by Mrs. Lynch's Spiderman pumpkin, and Mrs. Evanchec's Iron Man pumpkin.
We also had our high school leaders determine and announce the winners of the October art competition. Mrs. Evanchec's homeroom had two drawings in the top three. Mrs. Della Sala's homeroom also had a winning art piece. We are so proud of each student who helped create a pumpkin and/or portrait on behalf of their homeroom. It was a challenging decision with so many amazing entries!
Homerooms also participated in a costume guessing competition. Students were able to ask yes or no questions in order to gather information and guess the costume we had selected from the costume parade of senior students earlier in the day. In the end, Mrs. Evanchec's, Mrs. Lynch's, and Mrs. Reck's homerooms picked up points for their correct guess of "Toy Story."
The 8th grade used their experience and expertise and had a strong showing for the day! We are equally as proud of our 7th graders for working hard and learning the ropes. Homerooms also picked up a lot of points for a large list of Recognizing Raiders under the theme of Ready, Responsible, Present, and Prepared. A full list of winners is listed below:
