In the first event of the new year, 14 Riverview high school students participated in the Mock Trial competition at Duquesne University on Jan. 5. Riverview's prosecution team competed against Pine Richland's defense and successfully argued to win a guilty verdict. Top performers for the prosecution team included Chiara Brun who was named the case’s best witness, and Kylie Longstreth who was selected as the best attorney. The defense team also performed admirably and were able to secure a NOT-guilty verdict against Shaler's prosecution team. As part of the defense, Luke Huffman was named best witness, and Drew Ogrodowski was selected best attorney.
