Riverview Model UN Continues to Impress at Duquesne Conference
Congratulations are in order, once again, for our Model UN team!

On Friday, February 5, the members of the Riverview Model United Nations Team participated in the annual Duquesne University Model United Nations Conference.  The virtual conference provided students the opportunity to continue their training and to learn the skills of negotiation and diplomacy.  The team performed very well throughout the day; three senior members were recognized for their preparation and performance.

Here are some highlights:

  • Sydney Wilson won First Place Best Delegate for her role as the United States in United Nations General Assembly 4: Special Political and Decolonization Committee
  • Eleni Wyrick won First Place Best Delegate for her role as the United States in UNESCO: The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
  • Jakob Killmeyer won Best Overall Delegate in the entire conference for his role as President Jimmy Carter in the Iran Hostage Joint Crisis Committee
Congratulations to the winning members and to the entire team for another great day.  The team's next meet is at the first Asia Simulation on March 17. We continue to be proud of this incredible team!
