Riverview alumnus Michael Swensen is making his mark in the photojournalism industry. On May 3, 2025, The Washington Post published nine of Swensen’s photos, including one featured on the front page. A 2015 graduate of Riverview Jr-Sr High School, Swensen went on to earn his degree from Ohio University. He was also featured in the TIME's Top 100 Photos of 2023 for his photo of Donald Trump in East Palestine, Ohio following a train derailment. Read more about his accomplishments
