On Wednesday, April 9, the Riverview Model United Nations Team closed out its 2024-2025 season at the annual Westminster College conference. The 20-member team, including 19 underclassmen, debated pressing global issues including drone usage, nuclear power and the founding of the United Nations in a 1945 historical simulation. Competing against 250 students from across the tri-state area, Riverview delegates made their voices heard in every committee throughout the day. The event marked a strong finish to an impressive year, laying a solid foundation for next season. At the Westminster Conference, the team earned five awards, bringing the total for the year to 50. The students recognized with awards were:
Rocco Brown and Tatum Grimes - First Place Delegates as India in the 1945 San Francisco Conference
Ella Fabyanic - Honorable Delegate as Sierra Leone in the International Atomic Energy Agency
