Riverview Senior High Chorus Honors Vietnam Veterans at National Parade in Honolulu

Members of the Riverview Senior High School Chorus attended the National Vietnam Veterans Day Parade in Honolulu, HI, from March 24-31, 2025. The singers were honored to represent Riverview during this special year, marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Seniors Brody Deem and Brady Daugherty were selected to present leis to the Vietnam veterans in attendance. The choir was one of only two groups chosen to perform at this year's ceremony.

In addition to singing at the ceremony and parade, the choir had the privilege of performing at the USS Missouri, which overlooks the Pearl Harbor Memorial.

The students also had the opportunity to explore the island of O'ahu, visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center, Waikiki Beach and the Dole Plantation. For entertainment, they attended the Polynesian performance "HA – The Breath of Life" and Cirque du Soleil's "Auana."
