Riverview wins at Northwestern Model UN, the team's first travel conference in 2+ years!

Over the weekend of April 7-10, four members of the Riverview Model United Nations team attended our first in-person travel conference in 26 months.  The conference was the 19th installment of the Northwestern University Model United Nations and was the first time that Riverview attended this conference.  The four students, Naomi Girson, Callie Harden, Georgia Tsambis, and Olivia Wilton participated in the 4-day debate against over 500 students from across the country.  For their efforts, two of the students were recognized with 4th Place Diplomacy Awards at the conference.  Congratulations to the two students listed below and the entire Riverview delegation for a great weekend.

Callie Harden won a Diplomacy Award for her role as Viktor Yerin in the Supreme Soviet

Georgia Tsambis won a Diplomacy Award for her role as Hermann A. Widemann in Queen Liliuokalani's Cabinet

The team has now won 29 awards for the season and will compete in at Westminster College and Cornell University for its final two conferences of the 2021-2022 season.

Great job to everyone! You all make Riverview Proud!!
