Junior High Holds First Tournament of the Year

The Junior High had its first tournament of the year on Friday, Oct. 25. We were thrilled by the level of excitement and engagement we saw on display throughout the morning. Students participated in rounds of Matball to make their play for the coveted Marvel shield. Mrs. Lynch's homeroom breezed their way through the winner's bracket and ended up in the finals against Mrs. Reck's homeroom, who battled their way to redemption. Mrs. Morgans' homeroom made an amazing play for the title and landed in third place. Mrs. Lynch's homeroom came out victorious and added ten points to their growing point total! Mrs. Reck's homeroom took second place, which helped them make a play for first place overall!

Throughout the tournament, we saw blossoming leadership skills, collaboration, positivity, and perseverance. Students overcame setbacks, conflict, and challenges along the way. We can't wait to watch them continue to develop and grow throughout the year and through future tournaments.

We were also extremely grateful for the support of our Senior High mentor students. They helped make the day run smoothly and were fantastic helpers and role models for their Junior High counterparts.

We are looking forward to our next Town Hall on Thursday, October 31 when we will celebrate our present, prepared, ready, and responsible Recognizing Raiders!
