It was an action-packed Town Hall to wrap up the month of November. We are so thankful for our wonderful Junior High students and were excited to get to celebrate before our break! We started our Town Hall by thanking students for the effort, thoughtfulness, and kindness they put into writing complement cards for their peers. We look forward to delivering those completed cards in December. We also thanked students for the hard work and focus they used on their iReady testing throughout the week. We are so impressed and grateful for our Junior High students and can't wait to announce growths and gains in the upcoming weeks!
We announced our November Recognizing Raiders under the theme of leadership. A list of our leaders and prize winners can be found at the conclusion of this write-up! We are so proud of this group of leaders for the support and modeling they lend their peers. There are so many additional budding leaders that we look forward to watching grow and develop throughout the year as well!
After recognizing our fantastic leaders, we kicked off a bottle flipping relay. We were excited to see not only homerooms join together, but different homerooms within 7th and 8th grade competing together and encouraging one another! The final round for 8th grade was between members of Mrs. Lynch's and Mr. Biehl's homerooms. The final round for 7th grade was between members of Mrs. DeLuca's and Mr. O'Malley's homerooms. In the end, Mrs. Lynch's homeroom was the top 8th grade homeroom and Mrs. DeLuca's homeroom was the winner for 7th grade. Each homeroom earned 3 points for their grade-level win!
The final showdown was a best of three rounds between grade levels. A representative from each homeroom competed on their grade level relay. With the crowd watching and cheering, 8th grade looked like they were going to take the win after easily securing the first win. However, 7th grade persevered and won back-to-back games to take the championship, earning each homeroom 2 points!
We are so grateful for another fantastic Town Hall and look forward to our activity day and December Town Hall (kind, polite, helpful, generous, and/or positive Recognizing Raiders theme) on December 20!
