On November 8-9, nine young members of the Riverview Model UN team attended the 72nd Gannon University Model United Nations Conference, the longest continuous running Model UN conference in the country. The team members attending the first travel conference of the year were junior Carter Baldwin and sophomores Cole Brunn, Miles Duncan, Ella Fabyanic, Dimitri Hong, Blake Huffman, John Moses, Ryland Ogrodowski, and Nick Penkrot. The nine-member team made a great impression on the conference leadership and participated well with the other 300+ students in attendance from schools across Northwest PA and Southwestern New York. The team won 2 total awards at the conference bringing our total for the year to 5 awards.Ryland Ogrodowski - Third Place Honorable Delegate as Costa Rica in the UN Security Council
The entire team also was named Best Small School for the conference.
The Model UN team will next be in action at Princeton University on Nov 21-24.
