Riverview Needs to Make Ground at 'Souper Bowl' Halftime!

Last month, students and staff at both Riverview and Springdale Jr/Sr. high schools began a friendly competition to see which school can collect the most canned foods and nonperishable items for our local food banks.
RAIDERS! We're calling on you to continue bringing nonperishable items to vestibules of Riverview Jr/Sr High School and place them in the marked boxes on site.

We have until Friday, March 12 to see which district wins -- and Riverview has ground to make up!
Not only will the winning school earn bragging rights, but much like the real Super Bowl, where the mayors of each city wager a friendly bet, the beloved principals and superintendents at both schools have agreed to partake in their own friendly wager. The organizers of this event (SHS The Future Is Mine Organization, RHS Student Council, & RHS SADD) are still working out the kinks for the bet, but it will at least involve the losing principal and superintendent wearing the winning school’s football jersey as they deliver the canned food and nonperishable items collected to each communities’ food bank.
Here is a list of the most requested food items:
Spaghetti (any pasta)
Noodles
Spaghetti Sauce
Macaroni and Cheese
Parmesan Cheese (non-perishable)
Canned Vegetables - Green Beans, Peas, Corn
Canned Fruit - Peaches
Applesauce
Pudding (non-perishable)
Canned Soup - Chicken Noodle, Tomato, Vegetable
Box Cereal for Seniors - Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Cheerios, Corn Flakes
Oatmeal - Large container and the packets
Mixes - Muffin and Cake
Bread, Buns, Muffins (keep an eye on expiration dates!)
