On the evening of April 15th there was a Parent Orientation and Student Activity Fair. The evening included appetizers, presentations by the Principals and Guidance Counselor and information regarding course selection and class expectations. In addition, the parents were broken into groups and asked to follow a bell schedule so that they could see the classrooms, meet the teaching staff and ask questions about the curriculum.

During the parent orientation, students from both Tenth Street and Verner attended the Student Activities Fair. There was a great show of support from coaches, sponsors, and students representing over a dozen programs that students can get involved in when they are in Junior High School. Students were asked to talk to at least 8 of the people there regarding their activity or sport. Any student that was able to show that they spoke with 8 or more coaches or sponsors had their name put into a drawing for iTunes gift cards. This activity was designed to educate students regarding the additional opportunities that they have next year!
