On Monday, April 14 the Riverview Model United Nations team participated in its final competitive conference for the 2013-2014 season. The team of 17 students, consisting of a mix of rookies and seasoned veterans, returned with a total of 5 awards.

The students winning awards were:
Christian Snyder, Honorable Delegate award as Albania in the High Level Political Forum,
Danny Milberger, Honorable Delegate award as France in the High Level Political Forum,
Sam Glaser and Claire Dunning, Honorable Delegation award as Albania in the Economic and Social Council,
Sophie Belch, First Place Outstanding Delegate award as France in the Economic and Social Council.

The Albanian Delegation consisting of Christian Snyder, Jocey Ostrowski, Sam Glaser, Claire Dunning, Danielle Hanlon and Dana Grover also won a Third Place Honorable Delegation award.

This final conference caps the teams most successful year ever. The 2013-2014 Riverview Model United Nations Team won a total of 28 awards (doubling is past high total), including team awards at the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Westminster College, and Columbia University conferences. Most impressively, the awards won this year were attained, either individually or as part of a delegation, by a 21 different students (only 6 of them seniors). The team is currently looking forward to the 2014-2015 year and to planning its fifth annual Riverview Model United Nations to be held in September.
