Verner Elementary's 12th annual Hoops for Heart fundraiser was a HUGE success this year! Verner third through sixth grade students raised over $1500 for the American Heart Association while participating in a "Hot Shots"contest in Phys Ed where points earned donations. The goal for this year was $1000 which was easily surpassed, led by top fundraiser Lauren Dugan who raised $210 in honor of her Grandfather. The theme this yea rwas ducks; the more money raised, the more ducks on the pond! Students who raised money earned duck themed prizes as well.
