Joe Ford, Ben Lazor, Candice Ashbaugh and Molly Kennedy were RHS representatives at the WPIAL Sportsmanship Summit held at the Heinz History and Sports Museum on November 12th, 2015. The group served as our school's ambassadors for good sportsmanship for the 2015-16 school year. Joining forces with nearly 300 WPIAL and 30 local NCAA athletes, the summit was a means of promoting good sportsmanship in all men and womens' sports. Chosen for the great sportsmanship they exhibited on their fall sports teams, the four Riverview athletes will plan activities for National Sportsmanship Day in March of 2016 for Riverview spring athletics. Each representative was given a WPIAL Sportsmanship T-shirt and participated in group meetings with NCAA athletes who served as mentors for the high school athletes. Congratulations to our four outstanding student-athletes for the fine example they set for all Riverview teams!
