Four Senior Girls Represent Riverview

On Friday, March 11th, four Riverview Senior girls represented the Riverview School District at the 22nd Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day Event at Chatham University. The event was attended by Nikki Polens, Nicole Munion, Molly Kennedy, Candice Ashbaugh, Head Girls Basketball Coach Keith Stitt and Athletic Director Bob Kariotis. The Riverview scholar-athletes were all nominated to attend the event based upon their athletic and academic excellence.  Many WPIAL schools were invited to this prestigious event, and Riverview was thrilled when Molly Kennedy was named the winner of the Senior  “Pat Blayden Spirit of Sports Award”. The award is presented to the top female athlete based on her academic, athletic, community service and sportsmanship attributes. Molly received a beautiful medal and recognition at the banquet during the festivities. Congratulations to Molly, Candice, Nicole and Nikki as nominees for this event, and to the contributions each of you made during your careers at Riverview!
