1/13 – CyberPatriot State Round - Results are now in from the state round of the CyberPatriot competition, and two separate Riverview teams placed an amazing 2nd and 3rd in the state within the silver tier of the competition. This is the second straight year that Riverview Cyberpatriot teams have finished in the top 3 in Pennsylvania. Additionally, our top team finished only 7 points out of 3rd place in the more competitive Gold division. Riverview’s 2nd place team was comprised of Joey Flanick, Forrest Steele, Richie Lyons, Zach Hanlon, and Jack Harden.
The 3rd place team members included Luke McElligott, Mark McClelland, and Ian Burton. Congratulations and thanks also to our senior team members Ben Rushin, Brian Rossi, Julia Burton, and Lavinia Falck, who led the way to this impressive performance, and to Celaine Hornsby and Owen Shields who will lead our teams to new heights next year. And as always, special thanks to our corporate partner, PacketViper, who continues to lead in Pittsburgh cybersecurity and educating the next generation of students to protect our nation’s networks. The teams have now qualified for the regional round, when they will conclude the season.
