Dear Riverview Families,

On March 26, Riverview Administrators sent an email to families providing specific guidelines and information regarding the extension of the District’s Continuity of Education Plan. Extension of the plan will begin on Monday, March 30, 2020, and continue through the end of this crisis. A copy of this letter was also sent via the U.S. mail, and is posted on the District’s website. This plan clearly outlines specific steps and important information regarding instructional delivery, grading expectations, and more. Please make sure you read this letter in its entirety. The Riverview School District will continue to keep our students safe while creating educational opportunities that are meaningful and relevant. If you do not have the ability to view documents or instructions online, please contact your child’s principal.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these unprecedented times. Be safe. We will work through this difficult time together!

Riverview Students Reflect on Ways to Give Back to Their Community!

In January, students in the Riverview School District spent some time reflecting on ways that they can give back to their community. After some reflection time, they created plans that supported their ability to put their words into action. Those plans will be implemented on May 1st when students will actively go out into the communities of Oakmont and Verona to put their plans into action. The annual GIVE BACK DAY event was started several years ago as a way of honoring Martin Luther King. Each year students spend a day reaching out to local residents by participating in activities like, visiting with senior citizens, providing landscaping manpower, performing, writing letters to service men and women, and honoring local emergency management personnel. GIVE BACK DAY gives the students the ability to GIVE BACK to the many residents who support our schools and our students’ education each year.
